IMAP/SMTP Password rejected by Google Apps hosted domain

If the Unlock Captcha command doesn’t allow your IMAP client to authenticate properly and Google is still refusing your password, check if you’ve enabled the Advanced IMAP Controls under Settings > Labs. Try disabling the Advanced IMAP Controls then re-enabling them, saving changes in between.
